End of Spring term
We wish all our families a very Happy Easter and we look forward to seeing you all on Monday 25th April.
Visit from Barratt Homes
We really enjoyed our visit from Barratt Homes yesterday. Pete came to tell us all about the building that is happening around our school and we were able to ask lots of questions about what happens on a building site. We even got to try on some of the safety equipment you need to wear when on site!
Christmas nativity 2021!
Look at our very first nativity photos! We have had so much fun preparing for our show and we hope everyone who came really enjoyed themselves.
We had a lovely Christmas dinner yesterday! The first of many ....
Community Christmas Carol Concert 2021
We ended the term with a lovely Christmas celebration with the whole Great Oldbury community. We enjoyed hot chocolate, mince pies and carols around the Christmas tree. We also raised £100 for new non fiction books for our EYFS children. Thank you to everybody who came and donated.
Odd Sock day 2021
We had a great day yesterday wearing our odd socks and celebrating that we are all different.
Remembrance Day 2021
Wow! What a special day, today has been. We have been thinking about all of the soldiers from the past and present who have been so brave and helped to keep us safe. Today we remembered them and said thank you for their bravery. We had a very special visit from Miss Peters who played two wonderful instruments called the bugle and cornet. We learnt about the special piece of music played on Remembrance Day called 'The Last Post'. What an amazing sound these instruments make! We showed our respect at 11:00am and held a 2-minute silence to remember all the soldiers. Reception had a lovely end of the day and everyone had a go at playing the bugle and cornet - what a loud noise! And what a special day to remember! Thank you Miss Peters for sharing this with us.
