Section 10 consultation evening

On Thursday 17th September, we hosted an evening event to share with interested parties information regarding the opening of our new school, Great Oldbury Primary Academy and our pre-school and nursery provision, Great Oldbury Little Learners.

This event formed part of the section 10 consultation which is taking place  until the 26th October. The consultation enables local residents, staff and governors from local schools, parents, councillors, community groups and other interested parties to share their views regarding our new school.

It was great to meet everyone and to hear their views and questions about.

 Work on site

Wow what a difference! Only two months since work on site began and what a difference. You can really see the size and shape of the school and the amazing outside space that will be on offer for the children.

 JULY 2020

We are excited to announce that work has begun at the site for Great Oldbury Primary Academy! The school is due to open its doors in September 2021 initially to EYFS and Year 1 and eventually growing to a capacity of 420 students. There will also be spaces in our very own nursery and Pre School – Great Oldbury Little Learners.

At the end of June, the team were invited to make our first official visit to the site to celebrate the commencement of the work. Our official school website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have been launched to enable us to share information with prospective parents and to update everyone with our latest news as we work towards our opening date. Please continue to share these pages with anyone that you feel these may be of interest to!

In September, we will be opening our section 10 consultation to gather the local community’s thoughts, opinions and questions in regards to Great Oldbury Primary Academy. There will also be an opportunity for the local community to attend a face to face meeting on Thursday 17th September at Eastington Village Hall. This will be an opportunity to hear some our GLA leaders talk about our trust and what we can offer, our school’s curriculum and vision and how we will work alongside our local teaching communities. Please keep an eye on our website and social media for more information in the coming months.
