Meet the Staff

Mrs Maloney - Nursery Manager

 Mrs Maloney has over 16 years experience within the Early Years sector. She gained a First Class Honours degree in Early Childhood Studies in 2015 and thoroughly enjoys working with young children and their families.

In her spare time, Mrs Maloney loves to spend time with her family and friends, and particularly enjoys visiting Westonbirt Arboretum with her young son and husband. During the school holidays, they often visit their holiday home by the seaside and have lots of fun playing on the beach, building sandcastles and fishing.  

Miss Whitmarsh - Nursery practitioner (2-3s)

Miss Whitmarsh is a qualified Nursery Practitioner in childcare at Little Learners at Great Oldbury Primary Academy. She has five years experience in teaching and supporting children from six months to four years which she has found very rewarding.

In her spare, Miss Whitmarsh enjoys spending time with her family, friends and of course her cat babies Sidney and Buster.

She enjoys going on holiday and making special memories along the way.

Miss Whitmarsh takes great pleasure in making personalised frames for her family and friends.

Miss Wardrop - Nursery practitioner (2-3s)

Miss Wardrop is a qualified early years practitioner with experience working with children aged 2 to 5 years old. Miss Wardrop loves the outdoors and anything creative. She is passionate about providing children with an environment that is fun, safe and challenging, where children can thrive in their playing and learning.

In her spare time Miss Wardrop enjoys photography and exploring lots of different places. She also enjoys spending time with her family, experimenting with baking and watching football!

Miss Allen - Nursery practitioner (3-4s)

Miss Allen is a qualified primary teacher with a specialism and passion for Early Years and has a real passion for teaching Pre-School. She has experience of teaching within EYFS and KS1 in a variety of settings across the county.

In her spare time, Miss Allen loves to go on walks with her dog, cooking and spending time with her family, and her favourite colour is yellow.

I absolutely love the ethos we have created at Great Oldbury Primary Academy and Little Learners, where we are empowering all children to Dream, Believe and Achieve, each and every day.

Miss Swift - Nursery practitioner (3-4s)

Miss Swift has experience working with children across Key Stage one and Early Years. She has a passion for sport and enjoys planning opportunities for physical development in our outdoor and indoor environments. 

In her spare time, Miss Swift enjoys going on long walks with her dog, spending time with her family and friends, participating in activities like football or any kinds of sport and travelling around the world. Her favourite food is chocolate biscuits and her favourite colour is baby blue.

Miss Kirkman - Nursery practitioner (2-3s)

Miss Kirkman is working towards a Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning. Since 2017, she has worked in a range of outdoor organisations which specialise in providing children the opportunity to explore their outside environment, learning about wildlife and caring for animals. Since April 2021, Miss Kirkman has been working within a classroom setting and is loving this new career path working with children. She has a passion for the safety and welfare of children and young people and believes that every child should feel happy and safe. In her spare time, she is a casual photographer, loves exploring different places, goes out for walks with her dog and spends time with friends and family. Her favourite colour is red and her favourite meal is a roast dinner.

“I am excited to see the development of this new school as it progresses through the years. I am looking forward to seeing the growth of our Little Learners and seeing how they develop as they explore this world”.
